Locks Away Exudate
AdvaGel and AdvaGel Ag form a moist gel, binding chronic wound components and exudate into the dressing¹ which creates a moist wound environment that may support autolytic debridement whilst protecting the wound edge and surrounding skin from maceration. The exudate cannot re-enter the wound bed and inflammatory cells, especially neutrophils, are sequestered which helps to hasten wound healing².

Silver Nanoparticles
AdvaGel Ag dressings incorporate silver nano-particles which are spread evenly on the surface and within the fibre itself. This delivers an initial release of silver, followed by a sustained and consistent release. This in turn allows AdvaGel Ag to leave 94% more healthy cells than other silver dressings.

Reduced Silver Content
Due to it's unique method of delivering silver into the wound, AdvaGel Ag is contains substantially less silver than competitor products while still delivering enough to effectively kill bacteria. This dramatically reduces any cytotoxic reactions experienced by the patient, and due to the increase in healthy cell viability hastens wound healing.
