Charity Cycle over 270km for Action for A-T
Emilia, the daughter of Lewis Cotton Manager of engineering and the granddaughter of Managing Director Stephen Cotton, is a beautiful and curious 10-month-old who was diagnosed at just 6 weeks old with Ataxia-Telangiectasia (A-T)—a rare and progressive genetic condition that impacts coordination, immunity, and overall health. While there is currently no cure, there is hope—through awareness, advocacy, and funding life-changing research.
This October, Emilia’s dad — along with her grandad and close friends — will embark on the Way of the Roses, a challenging 272 km coast-to-coast cycle ride from Morecambe to Bridlington over three days (Friday, 3rd – Sunday, 5th October 2025). Through this journey, they aim to raise funds for Action for A-T, a charity driving vital medical research toward treatments and a cure.
How You Can Help
Donate to support research that could transform the lives of children like Emilia:
Share the campaign with your network to help spread awareness of A-T and amplify our impact.
Every donation — no matter how small — goes directly to funding research and clinical trials that may one day save lives. Every share brings us a step closer to a breakthrough.
On behalf of Emilia’s family and the entire Brightwake team, thank you for your support and generosity. Together, we can bring hope to Emilia and other children living with A-T — and help pave the way toward a cure.
