The LEAP Scheme (Leadership, Education and Progress)

The LEAP Scheme (Leadership, Education and Progress)

The Leadership, Education and Progress (LEAP) scheme is focused on developing and enhancing the existing soft skills of clinicians. Key areas of development include leadership, management, communication, and collaboration.

As part of the programme, six to eight clinicians from across the UK come together to network, share best practice, and learn from one another's experiences. A core component of the scheme involves undertaking a project that has the potential to improve clinical practice. These projects must not be related to wound care products, ensuring that the focus remains on broader aspects of professional and service development.

A previous LEAP cohort chose to explore all aspects of education, including how educational content is designed and delivered. The findings from this work were peer reviewed and subsequently accepted for publication in a professional journal, demonstrating the value and impact of the project.
